A Combination of Powerful Light Sources

The Thunderbolt gets its impressive capabilities from three different types of high-quality LEDs working together:

  • Middle Section (RGBW Wash/Effects): 576 x 1W RGBW LEDs. These LEDs can create millions of colours and offer a broad wash-like capability for setting the mood or adding colour to a scene.
  • Outer Ring (Intense White Strobe): 96 x 10W White LEDs. These powerful white LEDs are specifically designed for creating blindingly fast and intense strobe effects.
  • Highlight/Beam Lights: 6 x 40W RGBW LEDs. These six powerful LEDs can produce strong, defined beams and vibrant colours, adding punch and focus to the output.

All these LEDs have a long life of 50,000 hours or more, ensuring lasting performance. The fixture draws a total of about 850W at full power, delivering significant visual punch.

 

Sharp Beam and Strong Effects

The Beyond S2600 is designed for impact:

  • Beam Angle: It features a tight 5° beam angle, shaped by high-quality optical lenses. This narrow angle creates sharp, visible beams of light that look fantastic cutting through the air, especially in hazy conditions.
  • Intense Strobe: The dedicated 96x 10W white LEDs create rapid, powerful strobe effects from 1 to 25 flashes per second. This is perfect for adding energy, excitement, or dramatic pauses in music and performance.

Creative Control: Segments and Pixels

One of the most exciting features is the ability to control different parts of the light independently:

  • Segment Control: The 576x1W RGBW LEDs are divided into 12 controllable segments. The 96x10W white LEDs are also divided into 12 controllable segments.
  • Single Point Control: The 6x 40W RGBW LEDs can be controlled individually.
  • Preset Macros: Comes with built-in colour and effect macros combining wash, point control, segment control, and strobe for quick access to impressive looks.

With extensive DMX channel options (13 modes including Artnet pixel modes), you have deep control, making the Thunderbolt highly versatile for complex programming and pixel mapping.

Movement: Powerful Tilt

Unlike traditional moving heads, the Beyond S2600 features Tilt movement only (190°).

This design is often preferred for fixtures used in arrays or lines (like across the back of a stage or on architectural structures). 

Vertical movement (Tilt) is usually the most important axis for creating dynamic looks in these setups. 

Removing the Pan function can make the fixture more compact, lighter, and sometimes more robust for its specific purpose.

Precision: The tilt movement is highly accurate (0.0034° fine-tuning) and uses a reliable magnetic reset system.

A major advantage of the Beyond S2600 is its IP65 protection rating.

  • It’s fully protected against dust and protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction.
  • This makes the Thunderbolt ideal for outdoor events, festivals, and challenging environments where it might be exposed to rain, dust, or splashes. You can rely on it to perform even when the weather is unpredictable.
  • Working Temperature: It operates in a wide temperature range (-20℃ to 55℃), suitable for various climates globally.
  • Connectors: Uses standard 3-pin DMX sockets and PowerCON in/out (these should be sealed for the IP65 rating, which is typical).

Construction and Smart Features

The Thunderbolt is robust yet manageable:

  • Construction: Durable build (427*238*333 mm, 16 kg). Its relatively low weight for an IP65 strobe/beam fixture makes it easier to handle and rig.
  • Display: 8-inch TFT colour display with switchable English/Chinese languages and 180° reversal.
  • Smart Controls: Features include full range dimming with high accuracy, intelligent temperature sensing, automatic adjustment of LED power and fan speed (for performance, protection, and noise management), and lamp information query.

The fixture weighs 16 kg. It’s available in a single carton package (Gross weight: 19.2 kg) or efficient 4-in-1 flight cases (Gross weight: 98 kg) for touring and rental.
